GET DIRECTIONS

Please take a half hour out of your day to watch the "Our Boy Christopher" video on the right. Christopher is one of our Alternate Captains and is fighting the fight of his young life against Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

On May 20th, 2018, in the last game of our home sled hockey tournament, Christopher scored his first-ever tournament goal, icing a 3-0 victory for his team. Not a Stanley Cup winning goal, not a World Series winning home run, not a Super Bowl winning touchdown, not an NBA championship winning three-pointer was ever as emotional or IMPORTANT as that one goal. Everyone in the rink will be able to tell you about that goal, years from now. In my 25 years with sled hockey, it will always be.....

PLEASE take a few minutes, thank you..

Current News

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Coach, friend, husband, father, and veteran, Bryan Blomquist. Bryan humbly led the Long Island Rough Riders as President and Coach for 25 years, driving the team to countless victories and personal accomplishments all over the globe.

The coined phrase Bryan often used to describe the Rough Riders, “We measure success in smiles, not medals" is a testimony to the man and leader he was both on and off the ice.

Bryan and his family, as well as the Long Island Rough Riders community are confident that his legacy will continue with Vice – President, Frank Martin as his successor.
