Frank Martin


Frank Martin also serves as equipment manager for the LISH team as well as performing his duties as President. Frank has lived in Lindenhurst for over 30 years.

Kelly Derenze

Vice President
Kelly Derenze proudly took the position of Vice President in 2022.  She has incorporated her marketing and corporate event planning stratergies to the team while giving of time and attention to a multitude of charities.  She has worked in some capacity within the nonprofit community throughout the Tri-state area as well as Southern Florida.  Kelly developed a strong sense of devotion for the nonprofit sector when she began her quest to “speak for the children” in Florida’s 19th Circuit District Court Dependency Court, as a Guardian Ad Litem.  Upon her return to NY, she utilized her corporate marketing strategies to assist with a governmental funded program within felony drug court Diversion Program as well as assisting administrators of NYU/Winthrop Hospital for their yearly memorial for Infant and Perinatal Loss.  Currently, there are numerous charities in the pipeline from pediatric cancer to Law Enforcement K9 that will benefit from the corporate/charitable relationship.

Mitchell Mertz


Mitchell of Massapequa NY is married to Elissa, and has 2 sons. Mitchell has been a  Certified Public Accountant for over 35 years specializing in auditing, SEC and financial reporting, His younger son is one of Long Island Sled hockey's goalies.

Mitchell has been involved with  Long Island Sled Hockey since its inception as treasurer.

"This is a fantastic program not only for the athletes but for their families as well. We will NEVER say no to anyone who wants to play and no matter what the person's challenge is, we will find a way. It is amazing to watch the games and what it does for the players. This program requires a lot of time, effort and money. We are lucky to have a president that can get money out of rock. We can always use more help."


Anthony Ficarrotta


Anthony is the proud father of two children; Vincent who a 19 year old on the LIRR team and Jeena a 22 year old secondary mathematics teacher.

Anthony has worked in Manhattan in the financial district since 1986. Anthony has been a board member with The Long Island RoughRiders since 2009.



Phil Derenze

Head Coach
 20 + years of coaching experience ranging from mites, high school hockey, and collegiate level hockey. Director/Coach and Instructor of Ontario Progressive Hockey Development, Woodstock, Ontario, London, Ontario, St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada. Coached OHA and OHL Junior Hockey. Organized "Stars and Stripes" Program Woodstock and London, Ontario, Canada. "Stars and Stripes" Program in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, New Jersev. Assistant Coach Long Island Anglers Junior Level team, New York.

Howard Feldman

Asst Coach
Howard Feldman resides in Manhasset with his wife Shannon, and two children, Jake and Jolie.  Howard started playing ice hockey at the age of six and is still playing the game he loves.  He is very grateful that he found the Roughriders in 2018 for his son Jake who is unable to play standup hockey.

David Stalter is Senior Vice President, Tax & Real Estate, at Brookfield Property Group. Mr. Stalter holds an MBA in Accounting, a Master of Science in Taxation from Fordham University’s Graduate School of Business Administration, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The College of the Holy Cross. He also holds a CPA license in the State of New York.
